I have seen snow images but these photos of iced flowers taken in China are incredible. Mother Nature provides the best scenes and she did it with the unusual winter spell this season.Icy lacy petals
Iced chrysanthemums Like a popsicle in orange flavour
In lemon flavour?
Winter Olympics?
I feel so sorry for the flowers, I wonder if they do recover from being iced up.
They look amazing. I can't imagine that the flowers could survive - I have geraniums in my garden that were still flowering in November and then the frost and snow came and they quickly turned to a very sorry mushy state!!! The leaf is amazing.
Thanks for all the comments, the ice has surely formed amazing patterns on the flowers. I think an even layer of ice formed on the leaf and took an image of it so you are right, it is a template of the original.
Malaysian scientist breaking free from the laboratory, academia and writing research papers. Help...stop this world from spinning so fast! I like watching the world from the sidelines, curious students, birds, different cultures and the outdoors. I am having a challenging phase with my daughter MartianGirl, who has just entered the teenage zone, and a rabid dog Daemon K9. Now, Martian Girl has grown up to be Savvy K, Typhoon Tory is the new K9, and life has taken a different spin.

ReplyDeleteFabulous, I especially love the leaf!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! Love the way the ice has taken on the flower petal shapes.

ReplyDeleteKestrel, I'm intrigued over the leaf. How did it get like that? Was this a template taken from the original leaf? They're really interesting pictures.
